Jimikki Kammal: 2017's popular song from Mohanlal film clocks 30 million to emerge the most viewed Malayalam song on YouTube

The all India chart buster song 'Jimikki Kammal' from Mohanlal's Malayalam film Mohanlal's Velipadinte Pusthakam has set another record on social media. The Shaan Rahman composed song, written by Anil Panachooran and jointly sung by director-turned-actor Vineeth Sreenivasan and Renjith Unni had turned out to be an anthem ever since the makers released the song online.

Catch had previously reported that World Music Awards has rated Jimikki Kammal song as the No. 1 Song in India among the top 10 Indian songs list.

And now, the Shaan Rahman composed song has emerged as the first Malayalam film song to cross 30 million views on YouTube.

The super hit composer, who's known as the AR Rahman of Malayalam cinema, took to his official Twitter page to share the update.

"Jimikki kammal has become the most viewed Malayalam Song on YouTube. We've created history in less than One and half months. Thank you" (SIC).

Directed by Lal Jose and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas, Velipadinte Pusthakam starred Mohanlal in the titular role of college professor Michael Idikkula. The film also emerged as the fourth successive Onam hit for the Malayalam superstar.
