The Hindi dubbed version of Baahubali 2 has successfully completed its opening weekend on a historic note. Directed by SS Rajamouli and jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao and Prasad Devineni, the sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning stars Telugu superstar Prabhas and Anushka Shetty in lead roles.

Earlier, Catch had reported that the Hindi dubbed version of SS Rajamouli film has minted Rs. 41 crore on it opening day to become the highest opener in Indian cinema.

And on Monday afternoon, Baahubali 2's Hindi distributor and popular Bollywood director Karan Johar revealed the official opening weekend collections of the film as expected the Hindi dubbed version of Prabhas starrer has minted a record-breaking Rs. 128 crore to emerge as the top Indian film with highest opening weekend collections. The Hind version also entered into the coveted Rs. 100 crore club at the Box Office.

Karan Johar took to his Twitter page to reveal the opening weekend numbers.

"HISTORIC WEEKEND! Here is the HINDI language all India fri ( 41 crores) Saturday ( 40.5) Sunday ( 46.5!!!!!) grand total 128!! #Baahubali2

Also, it has to be noted that the opening weekend collections of Hindi Baahubali 2 have crossed the lifetime collections of Hindi dubbed version of its prequel, Baahubali : The Beginning.
