Hello Namaste and Akashvani to clash at Mollywood Box Office this weekend

Malayalam cinema will witness another clash this Friday, 19 February, with the release of Hello Namaste and Akashvani. What makes this clash interesting is that both films come from directors who are making their Mollywood feature film debut.

Ad-man Jayan J Nair's Mollywood venture, Hello Namaste is a multi-starrer film starring Vinay Forrt, Sanju Sivram, Bhavana and Miya. Bhavana will be seen essaying the role of a baker, the wife of a Radio Jockey - played by Vinay Forrt. Miya will play an HR manager who is romantically linked to the character of Sanju Sivaram. Aju Varghese will play Miya's fiance.

The intriguing relationship drama, which revolves around a jackfruit tree, also stars Soubin Shahir, Mukesh and Lal.

On the other hand, Akashvani marks the directorial debut of Khais Millen - a short film director who made waves with his 2014 short, Lipstick.

Akashvani chronicles the life of a married couple - Akash and Vani - and their ego clashes about their jobs. Kavya Madhavan, who recently marked 25 years in the Malayalam film industry will be seen playing the role of Vani, while producer-turned-actor Vijay Babu will essay the role of Akash.

Who will the Box Office favour this weekend? We'll just have to wait and watch.
