Super hit film director Shankar and his team have successfully completed 150-days shooting schedule of his most-awaited film, Enthiran 2 : 2.0 (Robot 2) in Chennai on Wednesday. The sequel to 2010's blockbuster, Enthiran will see megastar Rajinikanth returning to his Robot avatar. The sci-fi flick will also see Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar making his Kollywood debut. Akshay is the main antagonist in the film.

On Wednesday morning, Shankar took to his Facebook page to confirm that 2/3rd of Enthiran 2's shooting has been completed in 150 days. He had also shared his pic with the Thalaivar on his FB page, which had gone viral across social media in no time.

The Indian Spielberg was quoted as saying:

According to our sources, Shankar had announced that the entire shooting of the film will be wrapped up by December-end, 2016 and the team will get into the VFX work afterwards. The first look of the film is scheduled to-be-released in November. The makers are also planning to release the first teaser of Enthiran 2 on 12 December, the occasion of Rajinikanth's birthday.

Shankar has already shot the climax and important action scenes with heavy VFX sequences featuring the Thalaivar and Bollywood's Khiladi. The film stars Amy Jackson as the female lead and the music has been composed by Oscar-award winning composer AR Rahman.

Enthiran 2, produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, chairman and founder of Lyca Mobile/Productions, has been made at a budget of Rs 350 crore - making it the most expensive Indian film yet.
