Salman Khan's upcoming Bollywood film Tiger Zinda Hai is slated to release soon. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, the film stars Katrina Kaif in the female lead. Tiger Zinda Hai also marks the second installment of the Tiger series. The first part, Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan also featured Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as well. While Salman Khan will be seen reprising the role of Indian RAW agent Tiger, Katrina will be seen essaying the role of Pakistani spy Zoya in the film.

The makers released the trailer on Tuesday and had already met with positive reviews from the critics and audience alike.

However, the fact can't be denied that the plot of the Salman Khan film looks very similar to the recent Malayalam super hit film, editor-turned-director Mahesh Narayanan's Take Off. The film, which had released in March 24 2017 starred Malayalam superstar Parvathy of Qarib Qarib Singlle fame along with Kunchacko Boban and Fahadh Faasil.

Take Off is based on the real-life incidents which happened post the kidnapping of 46 Indian nurses by the Islamic State in Tikrit, Iraq in 2014. The film has been widely praised for Parvathy, who delivered a knockout performance as nurse Sameera. Similar to Take Off, Tiger Zinda Hai too has been inspired by incidents happened in 2014 wherein 46 Indian nurses were taken hostage by ISIS in Iraq.

While Parvathy stunning act was the USP of the survival thriller Take Off, it's Salman Khan's stylish stunts are going to be the highlights of stylish thriller Tiger Zinda Hai.

A big opening weekend is a cakewalk for Tiger Zinda Hai, which is slated to hit the screens as Christmas release. However it remains to be seen how well the film is made as long as the 'quality of the content' is concerned.
