Seems like Malayalam actor Mohanlal is the current favourite star of Telugu film makers. Mohanlal's upcoming Telugu release 1971 : Bharatha Sarihaddu is slated to be released soon, but the actor is making news with his 2012 Malayalam thriller, Run Baby Run. Directed by veteran maker Joshy and produced by Milan Jaleel, the film starred Amala Paul in the female lead.

Run Baby Run, the film which has news media as the backdrop, traces the relationship between one news cameraman and a journalist and their personal conflicts. Upon its release, the film went on to become a blockbuster at the Kerala box office. The song, Attumanal Payayil, sung by Lalettan was a chartbuster as well.

And after 5 years of its theatrical release, the Telugu dubbed version of the film is set to release. The Telugu version has been titled Black Money and has got the 'U' certificate from Central Board of Film certification. While the makers are yet to take a call on film's release date, there are reports that Black Money will release before 1971 : Bharatha Sarihaddu hits the screens.

The hat-trick success with Janatha Garage, Manyam Puli and Kanupapa has inspired the Telugu makers to dub the 2012 Mohanlal film in Telugu.

Run Baby Run also starred Biju Menon, Aparna Nair, Siddique, Sai Kumar and Mithun Ramesh.
