BJP leaders want dialogues on GST to be removed from Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal, Kamal Haasan says don't re-censor it

Thalapathy Vijay 's Mersal had landed in controversy ever since the film released for Diwali. Many BJP leaders have criticised the film for Vijay's dialogues on Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India campaign. The leaders not only criticised the film but also demanded a removal of the same dialogues from Mersal.

Though the makers have decided to delete the controversial dialogues, many industry members from Tamil film industry urged the makers don't remove the dialogues from the film.

Legendary Tamil actor-director Kamal Haasan too came in with his support for Thalapathy Vijay starrer on Friday night. He tweeted that Mersal was certified and no need to re-censor it again. He also stated that India will shine it speaks.

"Mersal was certified. Dont re-censor it . Counter criticism with logical response. Dont silence critics. India will shine when it speaks ," Kamal Haasan tweeted.
