Baahubali defeats PK: The SS Rajamouli film to release on 6,500 screens in China

SS Rajamouli's magnum opus, Baahubaliwent on to be a historic blockbuster by transcending regional boundaries and doing well across the globe. While the film raked in over Rs 600 crore from the worldwide Box Office in phase one of its release, the team is now gearing up for the release of the Prabhas - Rana Daggubatti film in China.

The distributors of Baahubali have decided to give the war drama a wide release on over 6,500 screens in China, the highest ever for a Hindi film in the country, surpassing Aamir Khan's PK. Speaking about the Chinese release of Baahubali, SS Rajamouli told PTI,

"Our next release is going to be in China. We are releasing the film in 6,500 screens, which is much bigger than India. It will happen this month or next month."

SS Rajamouli feels basic human emotions are necessary for the success of any film and he is happy that people connected to his world of Mahishmati Kingdom.

"Internationally, it's the same thing. Once you base your film on basic human emotions, it will do well. We should also look at how wide a release we are getting in the market and how to get people interested to come to theatres. We knew once they will come, they are going to like the film," said Rajamouli.

Baahubali: The Conclusion is confirmed to release on 14 April, 2017.
