Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati to play marine soldier in period love story
The shooting of Telugu actor Rana Daggubati's much-awaited film, Baahubali: The Conclusion is yet to be concluded, but the actor has signed another periodic drama with debutant director Shankalp Reddy. The film, titled as 1945, is tipped to be a love story set in pre-Independence era. Regina Cassandra plays the female lead in the film.
Reportedly, the plot of 1945 revolves around a war-based plot and the whole movie will take place around a submarine. Rana is essaying the role of a marine soldier in the film while Regina will be seen as a young Chettiar girl who is engaged to Rana.
Meanwhile, the first look of Baahubali 2 is expected to be revealed on 22 October at the Mumbai Film Festival. SS Rajamouli's sequel to his 2015 blockbuster, Baahubali: The Beginning also stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, and Nassar.
