AR Rahman thanks Thalapathy Vijay for the blockbuster response to Mersal album

Music maestro and Oscar award winner AR Rahman conducted his concert recently in Chennai. Apart from AR Rahman, a bunch of talented singers performed several songs of his classics and the event turned out to be a memorable one for the audience.

During his concert, AR Rahman thanked Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay for the blockbuster response to Mersal album. Thanks to Vijay's stardom, the album reached out to millions of music lovers across the world. The song 'Aalaporaan Thamizhan' from the film crosses nearly 38 million views on YouTube as well.

AR Rahman, who recently signed Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film with AR Murugadoss has also assured that it's music film will be entirely different from Mersal.

The untitled-film will go on floors by January end and the makers are planning to wrap up the film by September. Keerthy Suresh has been finalized as the leading heroine of the film, which is slated to hit the screens on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.
