After the tribute at the recently concluded Oscars, late legendary stars Sridevi and Shashi Kapoor will be once again honoured at the prestigious New York Indian Film Festival.

The event will be held between May 7th to 12th of May. The festival opens with Nude, a Marathi-language film directed by Ravi Jadhav and ends with Hansal Mehta's Omerta, a film based on the life of British-Pakistani terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh starring Rajkummar Rao.

Shashi Kapoor, star of Merchant-Ivory films such as The Householder, will be honoured with the screenings of Shakespeare Wallah and Heat and Dust at the New York Indian Film Festival. Sridevi’s iconic film English Vinglish, which was mainly set in New York too will be screened at the festival.
