After Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal, Suriya's ​​​Thaanaa Serndha Koottam​ shatters Thala Ajith starrer Vivegam's record

The official trailer of Tamil actor Suriya's upcoming film Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is yet to be released, but the film's teaser has already started creating all-India records on social media. The film, a heist comedy entertainer is tipped to be the Tamil remake of Akshay Kumar - Neeraj Pandey's 2013 film Special 26. Suriya will be seen portraying the role of Akshay Kumar in Thaanaa Serndha Koottam while Keerthy Suresh essays the female lead done by Kajal Aggarwal in the original.

The teaser of the film, which had released on November 30 has already emerged as the talk of the town thanks to it's record breaking performance on social media. Thaanaa Serndha Koottam teaser has set an unique record on social media as the one-minute and fourteen second long teaser became the second most liked Indian film teaser after Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal teaser. The teaser of the Suriya starrer shatters the record set by Thala Ajith's Vivegam teaser to do so.

Thaanaa Serndha Koottam stars an ensemble star cast including Suresh Menon, Thambi Ramaiah and Ramya Krishnan. The film also marks the acting comeback of popular comedian Senthil after a 26-year-long gap.

Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is scheduled to hit the screens on 12 January 2018.
