After Thala Ajith's Veeram, Pawan Kalyan to remake Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Theri in Telugu

Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film Katamarayudu is slated to release on Friday, but the Telugu actor has already signed his next film. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the yet-to-be-titled film will be directed by Santosh Srinivas of Kandireega and Rabhasa fame.

However, the latest update is the film will be yet another remake of a Tamil blockbuster.

Pawan Kalyan's film is a remake of 2016 Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer Theri. The Atlee's Tamil directorial was a massive hit. It has to be noted that out of 23 Pawan Kalyan films released, most of his films were remakes of Tamil and Bollywood hits. One of the biggest hits of his career, Gabbar Singh, was a remake of the 2010 Salman Khan blockbuster, Dabangg. His upcoming Friday release, Katamarayudu is also a remake of Thala Ajith blockbuster Veeram.

Meanwhile, Katamarayudu is slated to have a release in Tamil Nadu thanks to Thala Ajith fans. Directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasani and produced by Sharrath Marar, the film stars Shruti Haasan in female lead.
