After 2014 hit Holiday, AR Murugadoss to team up with Akshay Kumar again in the remake of this Oscar winning film
After the 2014 hit Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, South director AR Murugadoss is all set to team up with Akshay Kumar again for a Bollywood film. The untitled film is said to be the remake of 2004 Hollywood sports drama, Clint Eastwood - Hillary Swank starrer Million Dollar Baby. The film also marks the acting debut of Television actress Marina Kuwar of C.I.D and BiggBoss 10 fame. Million Dollar Baby is touted as one of the landmark films as the Hollywood film had won four Oscars including best film, best director, best actress and best supporting actor.
Akshay Kumar will be seen portraying the role of Clint Eastwood while Marina Kuwar will reprise the role of Hillary Swank.
"Working with a star like Akshay Kumar is like a dream come true, the journey from modelling to acting has been a major struggle but I have never given up and I am confident I will soon be recognized," Marina said in a recent interview.
The film will start rolling in 2018. An official confirmation on this is expected to be announced soon.
