The censor board has cleared the much-awaited Telugu film of the year, Pawan Kalyan's Sardaar Gabbar Singh. The film, directed by KS Ravindra and produced by Pawan Kalyan, Sharath Maraar and Sunil Lulla - under their banners Pawan Kalyan Creative Works, Northstar Entertainment and Eros International - is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Gabbar Singh.

The good news for the makers and fans of Pawan Kalyan is that the film has received a 'U/A' certificate from the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) without any cuts. Reportedly, the film's run time is 164 mins (2 hour 44 minutes).

The film also marks the Tollywood debut of Sharad Kelkar, who essays the role of the main antagonist. Kajal Aggarwal enacts the role of Pawan Kalyan's love interest in the film.

The trailer of the film has met with mixed response. However, the trade circle is confident that the film has all the ingredients to become a blockbuster like it's prequel, Gabbar Singh. The film is slated to hit the screens on 8 April, 2016.
