The post production works of Shankar's 2.0 is currently progressing at a brisk speed in Chennai. The film, tipped to be a social-thriller marks the first collaboration of superstars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. Produced by Lyca Productions for a whopping budget of Rs. 450 crore, 2.0 is the costliest Indian film made till date. The film stars Amy Jackson in the female lead.

According to the latest media reports, the runtime of 2.0 is locked for just 100 minutes. If it's true, then it's a strange decision from the makers as the duration of 2.0's prequel, the 2010 film Enthiran was three-hour and five-minutes long. An official confirmation on the runtime is expected to be announced once the film clears the censorship process from the CBFC.

2.0 is slated to hit the screens on 14 April in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Arabic languages.
