Akshay Kumar fans have a reason to rejoice as their idol will be sharing equal screen presence as Tamil megastar Rajinikanth in Shankar's upcoming magnum-opus, 2.0.
Earlier, there were reports that Rs. 350-crore project will be promoted as a 'Rajinikanth film' like all other Thalaiva releases.
But now it has been confirmed that the sequel to 2010 blockbuster, Enthiran will be promoted as 'Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar film'. Reportedly, the makers, Lyca Productions have decided to market their project as 'Thalaivar-Khiladi film'.
Akshay Kumar is going through one of the best phase of his career as he recently delivered three Rs. 100 crore hits this year with Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom. So the makers of 2.0 are expecting the same response for their film in Bollywood market unlike its prequel, Enthiran, which was an average grosser in Hindi belt.
2.0 also stars Amy Jackson, Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Shajon and Adil Hussain. The sci-fi thriller is scheduled to hit the screens Diwali 2017.
