Chiyaan Vikram's Iru Mugan gets U/A certificate, sci-fi thriller to release on 8 September
The censor board has cleared Chiyaan Vikram's much-awaited Tamil film of the year, Iru Mugan. The film, directed by Anand Shankar and produced by Shibu Thameens under his banner Thameens Films, stars Nayanthara and Nithya Menen as female leads.
The good news for the makers and Vikram fans is that Iru Mugan received a 'U/A' certificate from the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) without any cuts.
Chiyaan Vikram will be seen essaying dual roles -- as Akhilan, a RAW agent and a transgender villain, Love. Nithya Menen portrays Anasuya, Vikram's colleague. Nayanthara will be seen as Halena, Vikram's love interest in the film. The trailer was launched by Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan and Malayalam superstar Nivin Pauly on 2 August 2016.
Written and directed by Anand Shankar, the music of Iru Mugan has been composed by Harris Jayaraj. Touted as a sci-fi thriller, Iru Mugan is slated to hit the screens on 8 September 2016.
