Food inspectors raided Aman Aqua plant in Chhatisgarh on 10 September 2015, after a snake was discovered in a water bottle at a meeting where Chief Minister Raman Singh and Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda were also present.

Sixteen bottles of the same batch were confiscated by the officers for further investigation. The three-member team led by food inspector Ehsaan Tigga raided the plant which is located at Rajatalab area near Raipur.

The raid went on for more than two hours during which officers checked everything, including the packaging process. They also talked to the workers and tried to find out whether a proper check is done during and after the bottles are packaged.

Tigga told Patrika that the samples have been sent to the laboratory and a report will be received in one or two days at the most.
