Bindeshwari Prasad Yadav alias Bindi Yadav, father of the prime accused in the murder of teenager Aditya Sachdeva, was granted bail today by the Patna High Court in connection with the recovery of liquor bottles from his Gaya house when there is prohibition in the state.

A bench of Justice RK Mishra passed the order while hearing a bail petition filed by Yadav.

Yadav, however, will still be in jail as he has not got bail in his other pending cases.

Earlier in May, a lower court at Gaya had rejected Yadav's bail petition.

Yadav and his wife, suspended JD(U) MLC Manorama Devi's bodyguard Rajesh Kumar, were arrested on 8 May for allegedly helping the accused, their son Rocky Yadav, escape.

Devi has already been granted bail by the high court in the case of recovery of liquor bottles from her Gaya residence during a search operation.

Class XII student Aditya Sachdeva was shot dead allegedly by Rocky Yadav for overtaking his vehicle near police lines in Gaya district on 7 May.

Rocky was arrested on 10 May from his father's mixer plant located at Mastpura village.
