Four men allegedly beat up a Dalit woman and forced her to drink her urine after branding her a "witch" at Pipra village in Bihar's Darbhanga district, the police said today.
The incident occurred on 28 July, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Anjani Kumar said. The woman left the village after the incident, the SDPO said, adding that she lodged an FIR.
The incident occurred after some children in the village fell ill and some locals believed that it might be the result of witchcraft allegedly practised by the woman, he said.
