CWG 2018, Ind vs Pak: Bad news for India! Pakistan uses the penalty corner and draws the match 2-2

The Pakistan team got a penalty corner of 10 seconds in which the whole game turned and the game got converted. In the last play of the match,  the score turned draw with 2-2.

In the third day of commonwealth game, India hockey team is taking on Pakistan. In the second quarter, India took a lead by 2-1. After half-time, Pakistan took a goal by Mohammed Irfan. Before the half time, India was leading by 2-0. Soon after the interval, Pakistan took a goal.

A Pakistan player got a penalty corner after one of them goes down in the Indian D. In the second quarter, India applied a full press against Pakistan and tried to keep the ball with the Pak half of the field. This was aimed at gaining more goals. The efforts were paid off by a penalty corner.


India scored first goal via Dilpreet Singh, who found the target from cross by SV Sunil. There was a move as a counter attack and Sunil passed across the face of the goal to Dilpreet in the far post, who stricken the ball home.

In the opening exchanges of the match, there was intense action. Both teams were intent on attack. Pakistan. Pakistan was going down the flank twice while Indians were countering down the middle. The initial exchanges brought out nothing of the initial exchanges.

After failing to qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Jane de Janeiro, Pakistan was going down. They have also faced from one setback to other. Pakistan is currently ranked 13th in the FIH rankings.

On the other hand, India is ranked sixth the world and one of the favorites for gold in the Commonwealth Games.
