Indian tennis ace Leander Paes and his Swiss partner Martina Hingis won the 2016 French Open by defeating the duo of Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig in the mixed doubles finals.

Paes, who had earlier achieved his career Grand Slam in men's doubles, with this win, completed his career grand slam in mixed doubles. Earlier, 42-year-old Paes had won Australian Open, Wimbledon, and US Open titles in 2015 with Hingis.

The Indo-Swiss pair produced a resilient performance as they recorded a 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 win over second seed Indo-Croatian duo of Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig in a pulsating summit clash at Roland Garros.

With the win, Paes and Hingis have become the current holders of all four Grand Slam titles.
