Bihar Police Jobs 2019: Apply for SI, Sergeant posts; salary upto Rs 1 lakh per month

Few weeks are left to apply for the vacancies released by the Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) for the posts of Sub-Inspector, Sergeant, Assistant Superintendent Jail and Assistant Superintendent Jail (Ex-Serviceman). Interested candidates can apply for the vacancies released at bpssc.bih.nic.in.

BPSSC has released a total of 2,446 vacancies whose recruitment drive will end on or before September 25, 2019. Therefore, candidates who haven’t applied for the positions should submit before the closing of the application window.

Out of the total 2,446 vacancies, Bihar Police has released 2064 vacancies are for Police Sub Inspector, 125 for Assistant Superintendent Jail (Direct Recruitment), 125 vacancies for Sergeant and 42 seats for Assistant Superintendent Jail (Ex-Servicemen) respectively.

Pays scale

• Police Sub Inspector: Candidates who will qualify the exam will get the salary between Rs 35400 -112400 under Level 6.
• Sergeant: Selected candidates will get the salary under Level 6 (Rs 35400 -112400)
• Assistant Superintendent Jail (Ex-Servicemen): Level 5 (Rs 29200 -92300
• Assistant Superintendent Jail (Direct Recruitment): Level 5 (Rs 29200 -92300)

Age limit Required For Bihar Police:

The minimum age limit required for the post is 20 years while the maximum age limit for the unreserved category is 37 years. Age limit for other backward classes and female candidates is 20 to 40 years (as on September 1). While the age limit for reserved category is applicable only for the candidates from Bihar.
