Rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma is nonsense confirms a report

A rift between Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma and Indian skipper Virat Kohli was speculated after team India was knocked out of the World Cup. New Zealand defeated India by 18 runs in the semi-final. Now a latest report has come out in the Times of India.

According to the report, the rumours of a rift between India’s two superstar batsman is absolute nonsense. Earlier a contrary report came in where it was suggested that the Indian team is divided into two camps led by Virat and Rohit. Players were unhappy with Virat’s aggressive style of decision making.

The source stated, “Absolute nonsense is being pedalled, like ‘there’s a rift in the team, there’s trouble brewing’, whatnot. It’s really uncalled for. Which cricketer wishes away another cricketer? Only one who’s never played the game. The World Cup ended and someone wanted a new headline. It’s disappointing how some people twist and turn things to suit their interests.”

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will now be seen together in the Caribbean where they will meet West Indies for three ODI and T20I series. Two Test between the two teams will also be played which will be part of the inaugural ICC Test Championship.
