7th Pay Commission latest update: Modi government likely to hike salary of central govt employees

It must be a piece of good news for the Central government employees who are waiting for the salary hike. Recently, the Modi-led government will soon to hike the salary of the employees who are working in government banks.

As per the reports of zeebiz.com, Central bank employees are expected to get salary increment from next month as the government is planning to increase their Dearness Allowances (DA).

Reports suggested that Centre is likely to increase DA by 3.6 percent in the August-October quarter.

Since a long time, bank employees have been demanding to hike in their minimum pay and now, government all set to fulfill the desires of employees by giving a good hike in DA, media reports said.

Reports also cited an order related to the salary increment issued by the Indian Bank Association, the All India Average Consumer Price Index) data for June 2019 has arrived and also the average CPI was 7121.68 in April increased to 7167.33 in May while in June it was 7212.98.

For example, if the basic pay of SBI’s PO is Rs 27,620 then after the increment in DA to 3.6 percent, the salary will be increased about Rs 1000, zeebiz.com reports said.

Meanwhile, the Central government employees’ expectation is at the zenith that Modi government will soon to come up with a hike in their basic salary.

Notably, Central government employees were raising demand for salary hike for a long time in their present basic pay. Currently, government employees are getting a minimum pay of Rs 18,000 and demanding to increase of Rs 8000.

Now, the eyes of central government employees are on the Modi government whether their demands will be fulfilled or not.
