A 70-year-old woman and her 15-year-old granddaughter were crushed to death after a speeding Innova ran over them on 20 April in Greater Noida. The woman's 19-year old daughter-in-law was also injured in the accident and is being treated at the hospital.
The vehicle, however, sped away after the incident and the driver is still on the run. A case has been registered in Kashana Police Station of Greater Noida.
The Indian Express quoted Deputy Superintendent of Police (Greater Noida), Arun Kumar as saying, "The car has been identified as a black coloured Innova. The number has been flashed and checks are being conducted,"
This is the second hit-and-run case in Gautam Buddh Nagar area in four days.
