Varanasi: Modi, Nawaz Sharif, Kejriwal star as Ramayana characters in Shiv Sena's over-zealous posters

A poster put up by local Shiv Sena leaders in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency, Varanasi, shows him as Lord Ram while Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif is depicted as Ravana and Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal as 'Meghnad'.

The poster reads: "We need another surgical strike by Modi to end a Ravana-like Pakistan and Meghnad-like Kejriwal, who is a supporter of Pakistan."

Shiv Sena division at Varanasi has been putting up posters in the city echoing BJP's sentiments but in a quirky manner.

Social media has been abuzz with praise for the Indian PM while faith in the BJP Government has been restored and the party is hoping to ride this good wave during the upcoming Assembly election in the state.

While Ram (in this case, Modi) is shown shooting an arrow at Ravana (or Nawaz), a grinning Meghnad (Kejriwal) finds space on the bottom of the poster.

In Ramayana, Meghnad is the son of Ravana who foils things in the war between Ram and Ravana and ends up hurting his own contingent.
