Uttarakhand: BJP MP Tarun Vijay seriously injured in a scuffle; hospitalised
Bharatiya Janata Party MP, Tarun Vijay was seriously injured in a scuffle outside Silgur Devta Temple near Mussorie in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on 20 May. Following the incident, he had to be admitted to a hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
According to reports, some unknown miscreants damaged his car during the hassle. The incident reportedly took place while he was trying to enter the shrine.

A report in NDTV said the police asserted that some locals also pelted stones and raised slogans against the BJP leader. Further details are awaited.
Vijay is also the member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence Ministry and Parliamentary Consultative Committee on External Affairs.
