Uttar Pradesh: Shocking! Wife gives birth to second girl-child; drunk husband throws 18-month-old daughter from terrace
In a spine-chilling incident, a man threw his 18-month-old daughter from the terrace of his house after his wife gave birth to his second child. The second child was also a girl due to which he got angry and threw out his first daughter off the terrace.
The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Pardhauli village, said police on Friday.
The child Kavya, was seriously injured after the incident on Thursday and was immediately rush to the hospital. Her father Arvind Gangwar, who was drunk at the time, has been arrested, officials said.
Villagers said that there was tension in the house since Arvind’s wife gave birth to their second daughter five days ago. On Thursday, an inebriated and angry Arvind took his daughter to the terrace and threw her down.
SP (City) Abhimanyu Singh said police inspector in-charge of the area filed an attempt to murder case after the family did not turn up for it. The crime against the girl-child like assault and rape has been rising day by day. The government is taking strict action against the assault case.
