'Godman' Baba Parmanand arrested for sexually exploiting over 100 women

The Uttar Pradesh government has arrested self-proclaimed 'godman' Ram Shankar Tiwari - or Baba Parmanand as he is known - on charges of sexually exploiting his female followers.
Tiwari, who has been absconding ever since an FIR was lodged against him for sexually assaulting over 100 women, was arrested in Madhya Pradesh's Satna on 24 May.
The women alleged that he had sexually assaulted them on the premise that it would cure infertility.
Zee News reported that Barabanki police seized a number of CDs with obscene videos of women and porn during a raid on his ashram.
In the past, several obscene videos of the godman sexual exploiting women in the name of rituals had been making the rounds on the social media.
