Union Minister Uma Bharti's guard shoots himself at her residence

Head constable of Delhi police, Brijpal, who had been deployed for Union Minister Uma Bharti's security, has allegedly committed suicide on the night of 15 May at her official residence on Akbar Road, New Delhi.
According to media reports, the head constable shot himself to death. He was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he was declared brought dead by the doctors. The reason behind the incident is not yet clear.
Reportedly, other policeman present at the spot saw Brijpal using his revolver and raised an alarm.
The Hindu has reported that New Delhi's Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police-I Romil Baniya has confirmed the incident.
