In a bizarre incident, the father of an 11-year-old boy, who was allegedly choked to his death by his tutor in Allahabad last week, has alleged that his son was killed because he refused to join the terror outfit, the Islamic State.
The victim's father, who hails from Kaserua Khurd village has alleged that his son was killed by a teacher named Irfan because he had refused to join the Islamic State. The victim's body was found on a farm a few days later.
The victim's sister has alleged that Irfan lured her brother with a bicycle on 19 March and that the family lodged a complaint later that day when the boy failed to return home. However, while Police Superintendent Rajesh Kumar confirmed that a complaint had been lodged, he refuted the family's claims. "In their FIR, they have said that the teacher called the boy to him by promising him a bicycle," he said.
Investigation is on in the matter.
