TN polls: CM Jayalalithaa, DMK supremo Karunanidhi file nomination for upcoming Assembly polls

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has filed her nomination papers on 25 April from the Dr Radha Krishnan Nagar constituency at Tondiarpet.

DMK supremo M Karunanidhi also filed his nomination papers on Monday. He will be contesting from Thiruvarur, a constituency he wants to represent for a consecutive term.

The 234-member state Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu are slated to be conducted in May.

The last day for filing nominations is 29 April, while the nominations will be scrutinised on 30 April.

Candidates can withdraw their nominations by 2 May.
