TMC declares candidate list for Tamluk, Monteshwar Assembly constituencies

Trinamool Congress, on 17 October, declared names of candidates for Tamluk Parliamentary constituency in East Midnapore district and Monteshwar Assembly constituency in Burdwan district.

Dibyendu Adhikary, brother of Subhendu Adhikary who vacated the Tamluk constituency, was fielded from Tamluk. Saikat Panja, son of Sajal Panja who passed away earlier in the year, has been fielded from Momteshwar constituency. However, TMC did not name any candidate for Coochbehar parliamentary constituency which has become vacant after the death of incumbent MP Renuka Sinha.

Subhendu Adhikary vacated Tamluk and contested from Nandigram Assembly constituency and became Minister for transport in Mamata's cabinet.
