Tamil Nadu: MDMK leader shares morphed image of PM Modi as ‘beggar’ on Facebook; what happened with him is a lesson for all

We share several memes on social media for fun but we are unaware of what it may let you pay. In a similar, incident a Tamil Nadu leader shared a morphed image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Facebook. As per the report, in the image, it had PM Modi as a beggar with a begging bowl.

An MDMK worker Sathiyaraj Alias Balu from Sirkazhi town had allegedly posted the image of PM Modi, following which he was arrested on Sunday after a complaint was filed against him by a local BJP leader Swaminathan. He has been charged with intent to disrupt peace and to create ill-will between classes, say reports.


Sathiyaraj has been sent to judicial custody after being produced in court today, the police said.

Earlier, a Manipur journalist video circulated on Facebook in which he was seen criticising Chief Minister N Biren Singh as well as PM Modi. For which he was sentenced to a year’s detention under the National Security Act.

Kishorechandra Wangkhem, 39, was initially detained on November 27 to "prevent him from acting in any matter prejudicial to the security of the state and maintenance of public order".
