Smriti Irani stands in queue, places order at Starbucks just like us

How many times have you bumped into a minister who is not roaming around in the ambit of his or her security? Most probably, 'never'.

Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani was recently spotted at a popular coffee shop, placing her order just like any one of us.

A Facebook post showing Irani waiting patiently for her order to arrive at a Starbucks cafe in Delhi Connaught Place has gone viral and none of the security personnel can be seen around her.

Writer Nimish Dubey, who posted the picture of the BJP leader standing in a queue, wrote a post that said, "You can poke fun at her for all you like. But we have been seeing her at Starbucks time and again. She comes on her own. Stands in a queue. Politely places her order. Goes to take it herself. And leaves quietly. No fuss, no entourage, no security. There are not too many ministers like that. Ladies and gentlemen, Smriti Irani."

The post, which was posted on 5 August, has gone viral and has garnered 2.1K likes so far. The minister is being widely appreciated and lauded for her style and simplicity.
