CPI(M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury accused the Centre of misusing the Indian Army's operation for "political gains in rallies and on election posters of the Bhartiya Janta Party."
He took to Twitter and lashed out at the Centre saying,"Despicable to see an Indian Army operation being misused for political gains in rallies and on election posters of the BJP."

He said, "Lines deliberately being blurred between ruling political party, its fountainhead, and Central govt. India far bigger than their PR machine."
In the series of tweets Yechury said, "While each incident must be handled by law & order machinery, this politics/ideology of hate & hostility has to be defeated by all Indians."

"These are outcome of a climate of hate and hostility created in the last couple of years by a govt run by an ideology that fans divisiveness," he added.
Before Yechury, many other leaders including Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi had accused the BJP of misusing the Indian Army for their own political gains before upcoming election in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
