See Pakistan's democracy, BJP snubs Rajnath's speech blackout

The BJP has sharply reacted to reports of Home Minsiter Rajnath's Singh's SAARC speech being blacked out by Pakistan.

According to ANI, no media was allowed to cover Rajnath Singh's speech and the press briefing was cancelled as well. Union Minister Venkaiha Naidu responded to the development, saying the government will issue an apt statement on it during the ongoing Monsoon Session. He said: "Pakistan model of democracy, Sadan chal raha hai, sadan mein batayenge.(This is Pakistan's model of democracy. Parliament is in session, we will respond there.)"

On his part, Singh however, made a strong pitch against terrorism saying condemnation of a terrorist act wasn't enough. In the backdrop of the unrest in Kashmir sparked off by the killing of Hizbul millitant Burhan Wani, Singh said no terrorist should be given the status of a martyr.
