Sad to see Akhilesh trapped in vicious power play in Yadav family: BJP's Shatrughan Sinha

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shatrughan Sinha has come out in support of Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, who is currently engaged in a bitter tussle with his father, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh and uncle, Shivpal Yadav.

In a series of tweets on 23 October, Sinha said: "My heart goes out to Akhilesh for the situation he is trapped in. Hope wish and pray that he comes out clean from this political quagmire."

In other tweets the leader said, "Any family dispute is tough on the members involved. More so when the sordid drama is played out on a national stage under full media glare."

"One fervently hoped that a youngster like Akhilesh Yadav would lead India's largest state on the path of development, peace and prosperity."
