Rozgar Mela: Good news! Yogi government to give Rs 2,500 to class 10, 12 students

In an attempt to boost employment, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday announced a paid internship programme form class 10, 12 and undergraduate students.

Speaking at the Rozgar Mela in Gorakhpur, CM Yogi said that the UP government would soon introduce an internship scheme for Class 10th, 12th and undergraduate aspirants that will be linked to various technical institutes. Under this programme, students would get Rs 2,500 per month as a stipend.


He also told that the period of the internship programme is six months or one year after which the government would help aspirants in getting a job.

Yogi Adityanath also said that Rs 2,500 will be given to students with the help of the Centre.
UP government will give Rs 1,000 while the Centre would contribute Rs 1,500.

He also added that the government had already decided to recruit 20 percent of women in the police force.

“I want women to play a key role in the security of the people and the state,” he said.

The Chief Minister further announced that an ITI and a skill development centre would be opened at every tehsil so that the youth could hone their skills.
