Riteish Deshmukh all set to walk on father Vilasrao Deshmukh's footsteps; actor to join politics to contest Lok Sabha elections
Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh has marked himself in Hindi as well as in Marathi film industry with his tremendous acting skills. After acting and producing films, the actor is all set to walk on father Vilasrao Deshmukh's footsteps by entry into politics and its confirmed. According to a report in a leading Bollywood web portal, Riteish will contest elections from his hometown, Latur constituency.
Reports also suggest that the actor will contest the Lok Sabha 2019 elections from Congress party. Now Riteish had marked the transition from a Bollywood celebrity to a politician. Earlier in 2016 when Riteish was posed with this question of joining politics, the actor denied the same and said that he was not interested in entering politics then. But now, it seems right time has come for him to take this step.
Riteish's father Vilasrao Deshmukh had served two terms as the chief minister of Maharashtra and have also served as the Minister of Science and Technology and Minister of Earth Sciences.
While, Riteish is known for his amazing comic timing in films and has been seen on several Bollywood films like House full, House Full 2, House Full 3, Mast, Kya Kool Hai Hum, Ek Villian etc. Riteish has also worked in several Marathi films. Currently, he is working on Total Dhamaal with Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit and Ajay Devgn. He is also filming for Housefull 4 with Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol.
