At least nine people were killed and fifteen injured in a collision between a car and a truck on 22 May. The truck was reportedly stationary when the car rammed into it. The victims were travelling to the Golden temple via Gurdaspur-Amritsar Highway near village Boparai where they met with the accident, NDTV reported.
The injured were taken to the hospital in Amritsar which is 250 km from capital city, Chandigarh. The officials further added that the car was overloaded.
