Pulwama suicide bomber: Here’s how a 11th pass sawmill worker turned into a JeM militant and carried out the ghastly attack

The suicide bomber who is behind the ghastly terror attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama district of South Kashmir has identified as Adil Ahmad Dar (22), a resident of Gundibagh village in Pulwama district.

Before joining the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Adil was living a normal life in the district of South Kashmir till March last year.


As per the reports, Adil left his home on 19th March 2018 and since then, he didn’t come back to his home. However, his friend, Sameer Ahmad, a post-graduate student of Geology at Kashmir University, filed a missing report at the local police station. But, their efforts were failed in a few days, when they found his photo posted on social media networking sites, holding an Ak-47 and with a code name ‘Waqas Commando’.

 

 

After this heinous attack in Pulwama, JeM has released a pre-recorded message on Thursday, in which Adil said that he had joined its ‘fidayeen’ squad. This was just two months after a local militant, Fardeen Ahmad Khanday (16), was killed in an attack on a CRPF camp at Lethpora.

Let us tell you about his personal life before joining JeM, Adil was a resident of Gundibagh village in Pulwama district and his father, Ghulam Hassan Dar, is a small-time vendor. Adil had dropped his study in Class XII and started working at a sawmill owned by a neighbour. After leaving his profession, soon, he joined the militancy last March.

As per the reports of The Indian Express, ‘after leaving home, he met us only once,” Adil’s friend Dar told. He also added that his cousin was a militant, who was killed just 11 days after joining them.

As per his family, the suicide bomber was shot in the leg when participated in the protest against the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen ‘commander’ Burhan Wani in 2016.

Adil friends also said that it is not good that people from both sides are being killed. Dar also said that politicians are doing politics and not worried about the problems of the youth who are picking up guns against the government and ready to join the terrorists' groups.
