Pulwama Attack: BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj trolled for laughing, waiving at crowd during funeral of CRPF soldier
After Valley experienced it’s deadliest attack in a decade where 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred, the BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj has courted controversy while he was smiling and waiving during a funeral procession of CRPF jawan.
The mortal remains of the CRPF soldier, who belonged to Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao, were received by the family members on February 16 morning. Although, Sakshi Maharaj was present during the final procession of the soldier, he was seen smiling and waiving at the crowd present to mourn the martyr.
Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi tweeted, criticizing the parliamentarian and said, “Lets here the bhakts now...am sure there is a spin to the beaming pic of the MP. फिर से कहूँगी, शर्म तो इन्हें है नहीं"

Another Twitter user said, “BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj laughing while standing on truck, carrying the body of Pulwama martyr. Shame on you.”
One of the user tweeted, “Disgusting how #BJP MP sakshi maharaj is playing politics.
Shame on #BJP. They got outrage of what Siddhu said but what Sakshi Maharaj did is thousand times worse.”
The insensitivity shown by Sakshi Maharaj during such incident was condemnable and thereafter, a user tweeted, “How about This one? Laughing, posing while riding atop truck carrying coffin of Pulwama martyr Ajit Kumar Azad, turning his final journey into his own road show? He is rape, murder and extortion etc accused former Tihar Jail intern Sakshi Maharaj, now BJP MP.”
