In Valley’s worst ever terror attack in the recent times, killing 40 CRPF soldiers in Pulwama last evening, now PM Narendra Modi led Cabinet Committee on Security held a high level meet to discuss about the response over the attack.

The meeting, which was being held at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, includes Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister Arun Jaitely, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, the chief of the Indian Army, Airforce and Navy, along with CRPF DG and the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

PM Narendra Modi, who condemned the attack, tweeted yesterday “Attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is despicable. I strongly condemn this dastardly attack. The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly.”

The meeting which concluded after an hour, has decided to include evidence against Pakistan and its involvement in the attack and a dossier will be maintained for it, the early reports from the media have suggested.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh, while condemning the attack and reassuring the nation for an avenge, said, “Jaish-e-Mohammed has carried out this terror attack. We assure the country that we will undertake whatever it takes to avenge this.”

The US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster tweeted saying, “The US Mission in India strongly condemns today's terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir. We send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.”
