PM Narendra Modi wishes LK Advani on 89th birthday, calls him 'one of India's tallest leaders'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended birthday greetings to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart LK Advani, who turned 89 on on 9 November.
"Wishing our inspiration, one of India's tallest leaders who has served India tirelessly & diligently, Shri LK Advani ji on his birthday. I pray to God that Advani ji is blessed with a long and healthy life," the Prime Minister said, in a series of tweets.

Prime Minister Modi also visited Advani at his residence to wish him.
BJP chief Amit Shah and Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Ravi Shankar Prasad also wished Advani.
The senior leader is a part of the Marg Darshak Mandal and also serves as a mentor to the BJP. However, last year, the veteran leader had lashed out against the party and Prime Minister Modi after the thumping loss in the Bihar loss, saying that he was being treated like a persona non-grata by the party leadership.
