Amidst the income tax raids at the Janta Dal Secular leaders in Karnataka, the Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy has hit out at the PM Narendra Modi’s leadership and has taken a dig, stating that this is his ‘real surgical strike.’

As per reports, there are almost 300 IT officers who have landed in Karnataka from Delhi and are conducting raids at various locations, and the state is being ruled by the JDS-Congress coalition.

CM Kumaraswamy, in a tweet on Thursday said, “PM Narendra Modi's real surgical strike is out in the open through IT dept raids. The constitutional post offer for IT officer Balakrishna helped the PM in his revenge game. Highly deplorable to use govt machinery, corrupt officials to harass opponents during election time.”

Adding in the same tweet, Kumaraswamy said, “They have planned to conduct IT raids on our important leaders. This is nothing but revenge politics. We will not be cowed down by this.”

Today, during the early hours, the Income Tax officials along with CRPF personnel raided the residence of Karnataka’s Minor Irrigation Minister CS Puttaraju in Mandya and his nephew in Mysuru as well. Puttaraju said, “I'm not deterred by the raids, which are election related. I would like to know which BJP leader's house in Karnataka has been raided?”

As per reports, the search and investigation is on going at the residences of PWD Minister HD Revanna, who is the brother of CM HD Kumaraswamy and the son of former PM HD Deve Gowda. 2019 Lok Sabha election is set to begin from April 11.
