PM Modi inaugurates APJ Abdul Kalam's memorial in Rameshwaram
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 27 July inaugrates the memorial of former President PM Modi inaugurates APJ Abdul Kalam's memorial in at Pei Karumbu in Tamil Nadu's Rameswaram on his second death anniversary of the former President.

Prime Minister Modi unveiled a statue of Dr. Kalam, and has offered a floral tribute.
PM Modi also interacted with the family members of Dr. Kalam.

The prime minister hoisted the national flag at the memorial designed and built by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Pei Karumbu..
Later, the Prime Minister flagged off 'Kalam Sandesh Vahini', an exhibition bus, which would travel across various states of the country and reach Rashtrapati Bhavan on October 15, which marks the birth anniversary of the former President.
The Prime Minister also addressed a public rally at Mandapam and has inaugurated a number of welfare measures.
