Diwali's here, and along with all the lights, mithaai and celebrations, it has brought along with it the horrific traffic snarls. In order to avoid being stuck in serpentine Lucknow traffic, Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma decided to manoeuvre his way to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's residence on a cycle rickshaw, on 27 October.
Sharma was in Lucknow to receive UP's top state award Yash Bharti from the Chief Minister.
Akhilesh Yadav then took to Twitter, sharing a heartwarming image of himself flanked by Sharma, as a very amused rickshaw wala Maniram looked on.

Yadav took this opportunity to also talk about the Lucknow metro services which are expected to start running ahead of the state Assembly elections early next year.
"A traffic jam forced Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma to visit us in a cycle rickshaw. Lucknow Metro will help solve the traffic jams in city," the CM tweeted.
Reportedly, Akhilesh Yadav rewarded rickshaw puller Maniram with Rs 6000 cash, a cycle-rickshaw and other Diwali gifts. According to reports, he has been promised a house too, by the chief minister.
